Just outside my bedroom window are little birds singing on our hanging feeders, butterflies fluttering around the flower beds, and squirrels playing tag in the shrubbery. As I walk around our well-tended grounds, I pass several of my residents relaxing in slowly coasting gliders and softly swaying hammocks under large shade trees, while in our Rockwood Garden Quarter others are busy cultivating fresh vegetables and tasty herbs in their personal garden plots for later cooking on our gas-fired grills by the covered patios. In the afternoon they'll be sipping drinks at our little bistro tables with the cute umbrellas.

It's delightful here at Rockwood Manor Apartments, just south of the center of town, in our tranquil homey community within walking distance of Rocky Hill's free-to-the-public concert-movie-amphitheater and recreation-exercise-sports 100+ acres park. We are served by free, door-to-door, town-provided shuttle service for seniors. Down the street are supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, health clubs, restaurants, major shopping marts, entertainment hubs, and the local bus line. It's a short drive to the adjacent communities of Newington, Berlin, Cromwell, and Wethersfield, and an easy commute to Hartford and New Haven.
